Ciara’s Junior Infants scaling great heights in Art class

Good afternoon parents and guardians,

I hope you have had a nice week.

Thanks to all who attended the RSE meeting last night. Thanks Ciara and Carol D for hosting. Thanks also to Louise for leading the meeting with the Parent Guardian Staff Association yesterday. PGSA reviewed events to date this year and planned future events for the rest of this school year. More details on this will follow in the coming weeks.

As per notification earlier, mandatory school closure effective tomorrow, 24th January.

School will open as normal on Monday morning at 8.20am.

The 6th classes visited Glasnevin Cemetery today for an incredibly engaging journey through 200 years of Irish history today. The pupils braved the cold for the trip, but the stories of the many Irish patriots buried there warmed their hearts if nothing else. The tour touched on the lives of Daniel O’Connell, Eamon DeValera, Maud Gonne, O’Donovan Rossa, Countess Markievicz and Michael Collins to name but a few. The pupils wrapped up the tour by touching The Liberator’s casket for good luck and with good reason: Dublin will need all the luck they can get against Mayo on Saturday.
