Santry Sports 2014
As the pictures show, Santry Sports being held in June is no guarantee of dry weather. As usual, the rain didn’t just blow straight down, but sideways into the stand. It didn’t just come in a downpour, but in an all-day drizzle.
Luckily for us, D7ET won the main race of the day. We fought off stiff opposition from Holy Faith School and Dalkey Educate Together, with a great last minute dash, to take the only dry corner of the entire stand.
Unfortunately, that was our last trophy of the day.
Our U-14 boys and girls both made the finals, where they distinguished themselves.
To be honest, running on the track today at all was an feat in itself, so well done to all who participated.
The runners were:
Boys U10: Oscar Neiland, Isaac Moloney Daly, Toby Cromie, Eric Sexton, Ben Dyer.
Girls U-10 Duibheasa Lannon, Jana Mohiedan, Kate O’Gorman, Roisin Murphy, Oda Dineen
