Facepainting tutorials ahead of our Bazaar this weekend.
Good afternoon, everyone,
Thank you all for taking the time to come to your child’s parent teacher meeting this week. It was lovely to meet many of you in school. Thanks, Nina, for coordinating the coffee morning today for parents of children in Katrina’s class. Next week, the parents and guardians of the children in Gráinne and Marie’s class are invited to a coffee morning in the staffroom.
School has been particularly busy this week as we prepare for the bazaar on Sunday. There is great excitement among the children. We really appreciate all you are doing to make this a fun day for the children in school. It is as much about building connections and feeling part of the school community as it is about fundraising. Some children are particularly excited about selling their own crafts at the fair. Good to have lots of young entrepreneurs in our school. Our future is in safe hands.
Student Council Elections
We are looking forward to our speeches next week from all our election candidates. Some posters have gone up. We have told the children we will accept more posters on Monday. Speeches will take place next week. The elections will take place on Tuesday December 10th.
Primary Schools Indoor Relay Event
D7ET have been invited once more to the Primary Schools Indoor Relay Event in the Indoor Athletics Arena in Abbottstown on Monday December 9th. We will be holding trials next Monday morning during school time to select our relay teams ( 4th – 6th class) . If your child is interested in trying out for the team, please remind them to wear suitable running shoes to school on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend,
Fionnuala
