Maths Week October 17th – 21st
What a whirlwind week of Maths activities, from stations in the GP room, shape trails, Maths quests, baking in the class, Active Junior hopscotch right up to Olympian Senior activities. The weather didn’t deter the brave assistants who rallied the troops come rain or shine. Our electric storm on Wednesday did provide a few challenges but we battled on.
Visits to Murderous Maths in Belvedere, some Maths facts and figures in St Patrick’s Cathedral and a Lego based activity in the fabulous Marshes Library were some of the class outings during the week.
The weight of the Pumpkin was correctly guessed by seven individuals however on a countback and based on the class average, Anna’s class won the first prize and are now the proud owners of the aforementioned pumpkin.
Our Maths Eyes photo of numbers in the environment is continuing and all contributions are welcome at https://forms.office.com/r/QhU0ym7AM8
