Parkside Cross Country

The school held Cross Country trials in Grangegorman for the first time on Wednesday 26th March, will all competitors performing fantastically on the 1km loop. Both the Active Committee and Janette Strickland were a big help in ensuring that everything ran smoothly and having classes and teachers along to support really added to the atmosphere.

On Wednesday 4th March, the 71 pupils who qualified at the trials travelled to the Bogies to represent the school in the annual Parkside Cross Country event. Much to everyone’s surprise, the weather was beautiful and the ground was relatively dry, allowing for ideal running conditions. Each and every participant did the school proud; in attitude, behaviour and performance. We returned to D7ET with a staggering 14 trophies and we were overall runners up in both the Boys’ and Girls’ competition. The Daily Mile is really starting to pay off so let’s keep it up! Well done everyone!
