Visit from Sam

The Active Committee with Evan Comerford and the Sam Maguire

On Monday 2nd of December, D7ET had its (now annual!!) visit from the Sam Maguire, accompanied this year by school GAA coach Mark from local club St. Brendan’s and the talented up and coming Dublin goalkeeper Evan Comerford. Pupils gathered on the yard, with 6th class forming a guard of honour to welcome the Sam to the school. As always, Padraig was on hand to MC and kept things interesting with a penalty shoot-out and a very inciteful Q&A. It was great to see so many of our pupils were dressed in county colours and had made such impressive banners and posters to show their support. The visit wouldn’t have been complete without a whole school rendition of Molly Malone…will we be seeing Sam back again next year!?
