This week for SESE second classes enjoyed researching interesting facts about The Fox.
They all created their own beautiful Fox, using just chalk pastels and black sugar paper!
Good afternoon parents and guardians,
I hope you have had a nice week.
We are looking forward to a busy week in school.
Our 6th class quiz team will represent D7ETNS as they compete in the Community Credit Union School Quiz on Monday night. This takes place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown at 6.30pm. If your child has been selected and cannot attend, please get in touch with Niamh Brennan niamhb@d7educatetogether.com and let her know.
Best of luck to our athletes who compete in the indoor relay competition this Thursday in Abbotstown National Sports Campus. Thanks Padraig for organising this.
Thanks to our 6th class parents and guardians who attended the coffee morning on Friday. I am sure there was plenty of talk about – secondary school, graduation, Delphi and all our final year children have to look forward to. The children have asked us to order their graduation hoodies early so they can wear them for a term before they leave! We have done this and should have them before the end of the month. The fundraising they did in their 6th class café at the Winter Bazaar will cover the costs of the hoodie. Some asked about Graduation ceremony. This will take place on Wednesday, June 25th at 11am in our Sports Hall.
Next week, February 14th, the parents and guardians of children in the ALC are welcome to join us for a coffee morning in the staffroom.
Thanks to everyone who has filled out the anonymous Bí Cineálta ( Action Plan on Bullying) survey. We currently have 72 responses. Please fill out the short survey if you have not already done so. It will take less than 5 minutes.
In school we have surveyed the children. Staff will complete a survey at our meeting on Friday
Reminder, our school will have a half-day school closure this Friday, February 14th. (Junior and Senior Infants 11.50am, 1st – 6th 12pm). This will give all staff time to both reflect on survey responses and to develop our Bí Cineálta policy to prevent and address bullying behaviour. Little Learners will operate from 11.50am on this day.

Grainne and Marie’s second class would like to say a huge thank you to Wesley’s 5th class who helped them to make St Brigid’s Crosses from reeds this week. Some fantastic learning and a lovely opportunity for some siblings to work on something together. Imbolc Shona Daoibh.

Spring is surely in the air!
