Thanks, PGSA, for organising our fete. Thanks, Aoife, for the poster!
Good afternoon parents and guardians,
I hope you have had a nice week.
We have had Sports day, a 5th class play, a 2nd class trip to St Patrick’s Cathedral, a big soccer final for our boys and lots more happening in school this week. Our 6th class are looking forward to a 3-day trip to Delphi next Wednesday. Thanks Padraig, Niamh Ní and Ciara for travelling with them.
It is a busy time in school where we are trying to do lots of end of year planning while also setting ourselves up for the next school year!
Arts Week
You may hear your child speak about our Arts Week Music performance competition. This is the poster on display in school. Thanks, Peadar, for coordinating.
Also, for Arts week, if any parent would like to come in and play / speak to a class about a musical instrument please email your child’s teacher.
Summer Fete
Calling all budding student bakers: dust off your aprons and preheat those ovens because the inaugural D7ET Bake Off is here!
We’re inviting all baking enthusiasts to showcase their talents and compete in three delicious categories: Cakes, Biscuits, and Savoury Bakes.
You’ll have the chance to earn the coveted title of D7ET Bake Off Champion and take away your very own D7ET apron.
If you’d like to enter, simply bring your bake along to the main hall on the morning of the fete, along with a postcard-sized sign including your name, your class, and any details about your bake you’d like to share with our esteemed judge.
Let’s make this year’s summer fete our sweetest one yet!

‘THE GOLDEN BANDSTAND – Sculpture’ Inaugural Lauch Event – 13th June
The GDA is delighted to announce the inaugural launch event of ‘THE GOLDEN BANDSTAND – Sculpture’ by artist Garrett Phelan. This major visual art commission, part of ‘the lives we live’ Grangegorman Public Art, aims to leave a lasting legacy for the Grangegorman site.
The event will commence at 12.30pm. We are hoping Paul’s class will sing their Stoneybatter song at 12.50pm. The event will feature live performances by Clash Jam Wallop and Sean Hession ‘Frankly Sinatra’ and will finish at 3pm. might be nice to pop over on your way to collect your children or bring them along after ‘pick up’.
