6th Class Poetry: Sea is LIke a Dog

Sea is Like a Dog
Each wave an echo of its bark
Always turning and rolling
The moon, her master, pulls her on a leash
Jumping up on its hind legs,
Then splashing down again
Foam spraying its territory
Digging all the way to the seabed
Sometimes, it will recede and rest,
It sits by the rock-pools, unstirred and motionless
And then bounds back again with force
Wagging its wavy tail
Scampering about
Hyper, stupid and fond of routine
