Lego Mindstorms 4th Class

On Friday, June 18th, 4th Class attended the Lego Mindstorms  Workshop at the ILAC Centre.  Pupils worked in threes on laptops, programming toy robots to move according to their instructions. Rob, our man from Lego, found the class very receptive, and fast to catch on. Lego Mindstorms is one of those kits that is incomprehensible to most adults, but easily managed by children.

Within two hours, all groups had managed to manoeuvre their toys about the room, according to pre-set directions. Then, they could alter the instructions on the computer, and watch the results.

Most children recommended it for the school, something we promised to consider at some stage.
