From The Archive: Spaceship Art
These pictures were drawn by 1st Class of 2006, the current 4th Class.
The spaceships draw on the children’s own conceptions of what inter-stellar travel might entail. One pupil emphasises the need for clean laundry at all times, while another allows for balloon-assisted flight without ever having to leave your bed. The designs combine futuristic technology with chimneys and wooden doors. To protect the glass windows of the ship, one designer suggests reinforcing them with a covering of cement.
