Books and Buddy Reading
The children in Maria’s first class have been focusing on reading for enjoyment this year. Together we have read the first Famous Five novel, Five on a Treasure Island, which was a huge hit! The children also presented some of their favourite books during ‘Show and Tell’, choosing particularly funny or interesting pages to share with the class. We even wrote our own short stories and published them in an online book on Storyjumper.
However, one of our favourite activities of all was perhaps our Buddy Reading session with Rachel’s 6th class!
