Thanks, Aoife, for the lovely poster.
Good afternoon parents / guardians,
I hope you have had a nice week.
Thank you for being so efficient with your visit to our classrooms today.
Thanks also to the parents who sent in the watering cans to help us as we develop our community garden. If anyone has any spare gardening equipment, please bring it into Celine and it will be well used here.
Also, we have a good supply of clothing for our younger children if they have toileting accidents or get wet in school. However, we would be very grateful if parents have leggings or tracksuit bottoms in the following sizes to pass on for our spare clothes box. Age 7, 8, 9 & 10. Donations can be left with Celine in the office. Thanks
News2Day team asked how we could support a friend who was going through a difficult time. 4th class put their heads together to come up with a very thoughtful answer and their response was read out live on RTÉ. The class were delighted.
Well done 4th class.
Wonderful advice for both adults and children.
Carpenter / joiner / tradesperson needed.
We are looking for a bit of assistance in repurposing our acoustic boards in the sport’s hall. We managed to get basketball fittings on the walls over the mid-term break. However, we needed to remove three acoustic panels to allow for the hanging of the backboards. In order to replace the panels, we will need to cut them to fit around the basketball fittings. If anybody thinks they could assist us in this task, please contact Padraig. Padraig@d7educatetogether.com
Active Committee
We are looking to replace our Active Board photos as they have become quite dated. If you have a photograph of your child/children participating in their favourite sporting activities we would love to include them on our board. If your child brings in the photograph to school, our Active Committee will be visiting all the classes next week to collect all contributions.
Donna’s Junior Infants are learning about 2D shapes and this week they went on a very sunny and enjoyable shape hunt in Grangegorman.
Thank you to all the families for bringing your children to the event in Grangegorman on Monday afternoon.
