From Milano to Stephen’s Green
On Wednesday, March 25, we went on a pizza-making trip.
First, we got a bus into town. As we arrived earlier than
expected, we took a detour into Trinity College and ate our
snacks.
Next, we walked up Dawson Street to Milano. There, we
donned our aprons and chefs hats and got ready to cook. We
put flour on the dough to stop it being sticky. We stretched out
the dough and put it on black trays. After adding tomato sauce
and mozzarella cheese, our pizzas were all set to cook. They
were ready in just four minutes! Isn’t that amazing?!
Before we left, we did a quiz. We learned that tomatoes come
from China and that basil comes from India.
Then, we sauntered up to Stephen’s Green and had a pizza
picnic. We gobbled our pizzas while some jealous pigeons and
seagulls looked on.
After our picnic, we went to the playground. There, we swung
on monkey bars, swayed on the basket swing, slid on the slide
(altogether!) and scaled the climbing frame.
Finally, it was time to go back to school. We hopped on the bus
and arrived back at Manor Street just before one o’clock.
It was the best day ever!
