October in Room 2
We started the month learning all about autumn. We brought in some conkers, acorns and beautiful autumn leaves to create a woodland in our small world area. Romey helped us to make clay hedgehogs.
We really enjoyed our Maths Week, when we did maths activities in the GP room, went on a maths trail around the school with Veronica’s first class and played some maths games during PE.
We learned all about our senses too. We talked about different flavours when we tasted lemons, bananas, pretzels and cocoa powder. We feel very proud of the self portraits we created!
In the lead up to Halloween, our “Starbar Cafe” transformed into a “Spooky Cafe”. We worked together to build haunted houses and we drew some funky monsters.
