Paul's 4th Class were fortunate enough to get a unique opportunity to try out the Smithfield Pop-Up Velodrome on Monday June 12th. The previous day the track had been open to the public and witnessed thrilling action as the cyclists skidded across the greasy cobblestones of the old market. Thankfully the sun shone for our guys and they all had a great time learning the skills required to manoeuvre around the banked curves. The children had a few practice laps and then raced in pairs over a three lap circuit. At the end of the session they all received a medal to commemorate the event. Great fun was had by all even if the teacher was beaten into second place.
